The most beautiful view is the one I share with you.

You know those times when you just realize that, wow, these are some of the best days of your life?

Those times when you are consciously aware of how happy you are, how lucky you are.

The desert brings these feelings out in me.  I’ve always felt so free and at peace in wide open spaces.  Give me a desert any day over mountains and forests.  Arizona is so beautiful at sunset it leaves you breathless.  The golden hues and glowing hills.  Wide open sky.  Out of this world beauty.

Wojc and I drove a few miles north of Lake Havasu and hiked out to some cliffs overlooking the Colorado river this evening and I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Lake Havasu has been heaven.  Now that it’s cooling down from the initial 120 degree temperatures to a comfortable 100 (but it’s dry heat!) we’ve been inspired to adventure further from the pool.  We’ve made some friends thanks to Wojc’s old buddy from Lynnwood and they’ve been good travel guides showing us lakeside bars and swim spots we may otherwise have missed.  Otherwise it’s been nothing but sleeping in, yoga, swimming, napping, more swimming and relaxing.  I could get used to this way of life.

WOW. Those pictures do speak for themselves. Looks like you’re having a wonderful time. Enjoy it, don’t rush into joining the ‘real’ world until you absolutely have to.
